These might be free of gluten, refined sugar and dairy, but they aren't free of flavour. Gooey, moist and decadent brownies that might actually be good for you!


1 cup steamed or baked sweet potato mashed, skin removed

3 Tablespoons Coconut Flour

2 Tablespoons Raw Cacao Powder

1/2 Teaspoon Cinnamon

1/4 Teaspoons GF baking powder

1/2 Cup Walnuts, chopped

1/3 Cup sweetener of choice, (Rice Malt Syrup, Maple Syrup, Honey or Agave Nectar)

1/4 Cup Coconut Oil

3 eggs, whisked

60g72% Dark Chocolate, chopped roughly


Preheat oven to 180 degrees fan forced and line baking tin.

Mix dry ingredients together except the Walnuts in a large bowl. In a separate bowl, mix wet ingredients together with a whisk and add dry ingredients to wet bowl and mix thoroughly

Pour mixture into lined baking tin and flatten lightly or tap the tray on a bench to even the mixture out.

Top with chopped walnuts and press lightly into mixture

Bake for 20-30 minutes (depending on your oven) until a fork comes out clean.

Leave to cool slightly in the tin then remove and transfer to a rack to cool completely before cutting.
