Chia Pizza Base

This little number is going to change Saturday pizza night big time. It produces a crunchy nutritious pizza base that'll leave you wanting the last slice.

Makes 1 small pizza. 


1/4 cup Chia Seeds

3/4 cup Water

2 Tbs Oregano

1/2 Teaspoon Salt

1/2 Teaspoon Pepper

3 Tbs Buckwheat Flour


1. Preheat oven to 180C

2. Mix together chia seeds, buckwheat flour, water, oregano, salt & pepper. Mix until chia seeds expand and mixture is quite gluey.

3. On a lined baking tray, spread the mixture into a pizza shape at about 1cm think.

4. Place tray in the oven and bake for approximately 20-30 minutes, depending how crispy you like it! 

5. Top with ingredients of choice and place back in the oven for about 5-10 minutes.
